Dominion Mandate

Genesis 1:26-28 is commonly called the dominion mandate. God gave a divine purpose to man from the very beginning of creation. He commissioned man by saying, "You are here to be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the earth and have dominion over everything in it."  It is highly significant that the first thing God said to Adam and Eve was, "I want you to rule the earth for Me. I am authorizing you to govern. Societies will need government. See to it. Plant My Word everywhere, and dominion will be activated.

Knowing who God is, we can conclude that He meant to say that. He didn't accidentally say that a part of your purpose is governing. He didn't say, "Oh wait, I'm not warmed up yet. We've started? Whoops, let's start over." No, He meant this. It was His will for His imaged ones to rule and reign on the earth. That was his original intent, and you must understand what this means if you are going to clearly understand purpose.   Why? Because hell has done everything it can to distort God's purpose so that hell's kingdom, not God's Kingdom, can rule the earth.

When lucifer led a coup d’état trying to take over Heaven, the battle was over governance, who was going to rule? Would God rule or lucifer? The same is true today. lucifer wants to subdue man and govern the earth. He disrupted God's plan by tempting man to sin, corrupting God's purpose until Christ came with His Kingdom to reconcile man back to God through His sacrifice and Calvary's cross.
