Step 1. Entering into Prayer
Prayer and Armour of God For Starting Your Day
Ephesians 6:18, “Praying always with all prayer” and 1 Corinthians 14:40, “Done decently and in order”
1. Presenting yourself unto the Lord:
Forgiveness: Heavenly Father, In the name of Jesus I come before your throne of Grace “Hebrews 4:16 / Hebrews 11:6 and Matthew 6:33”. I ask you for forgiveness for any sin that I may have committed; whether by commission or omission, I ask you to blot out any transgressions of mine (law-breaking Isaiah 43:25) and remember none of my iniquities (injustices-Hebrews 10:17). If there is anyone that may have tried to cause me any hurt, harm, or danger, I forgive them and release them now, and I set my will to forgive at a moment’s notice those who try to cause me any hurt, harm, or danger and sin against you.
Heavenly Father, if anything in my life has not been ordered by you or that is not entirely given up to you. Thank you for opening my eyes and showing me any areas of my life that are not pleasing to YOU. I ask you to give me strength, grace, and wisdom to change those things and remove any weight that would prevent me from having an open heart-to-heart relationship with You (Hebrews 12:1). According to Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Thank You for working through me to cleanse me from things that would hinder me and would give place to the devil to use as a foothold against me.
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, I address myself only to the true and living God and refuse the devil's involvement in my prayer. I command the devil, in the Name of JESUS, and I bind you to leave my presence with all your cohorts. I bring the blood of my Lord JESUS CHRIST between us. I resist all your endeavors and cohorts who would try to rob me of the will of God.
Heavenly Father, I come afresh this day ___/__/___ I submit my spirit, soul "mind, will, emotions, imagination, my sensory mechanisms, conscious, sub-conscious, and body" unto the Lordship of Jesus who is the Christ. Heavenly Father, I come to thank You for Your WORD and the leading of the Holy Spirit, desiring that Your will be done in my life. I want to be like my Lord and Savior, who lived daily in the intimacy of closeness and constant fellowship with You. Heavenly Father, I want to know Your will more clearly, with absolute certainty of divine guidance with instructions on what to do and how to do it. Heavenly Father, work in me to do YOUR will and to do YOUR good pleasure because, for that purpose, I am here on the earth only to do your will. Heavenly Father, you are Almighty God "El-Elyon," the Most High, I bless and praise you in Jesus name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, In the name of Jesus I take each piece of Armour, I put on the Lord Jesus Christ:
- I gird my loins with the BELT OF TRUTH (Ephesians 6:14).
- I put on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (1 Corinthians 1:30).
- I shod my feet with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
- I take up above all the SHIELD OF FAITH (Ephesians 6:16 / Romans 12:3, 1 John 5:4).
- I put on the HELMET OF SALVATION (1 Corinthians 2:16; Ephesians 2:20).
- I take the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT (Hebrews 4:12).
- I will PRAY IN THE SPIRIT (Romans 8:26-27; Jude 1:20).
Heavenly Father, I thank you that I am defensively clad with the armor of God; I am offensively equipped with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I am empowered to engage in spiritual warfare and achieve victory successfully. Thank You for the armor of protection and surrounding me with your hedge of protection as I move forward on the spiritual battlefield (Psalm 34:7; 91:11). I am not afraid of the terror by night, the arrow that flieth by day, the pestilence that walketh in darkness; the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” Thank You for allowing me to abide under the wings of the Almighty, and I say of the LORD; you are my refuge, you are my fortress, you are my source, and you are my God; in you I do trust. (Psalm 91:5-6). I declare and decree that the devil and all his cohorts in the spirit realm are subject to me through the name of Jesus and by the blood of Jesus.
