Psalms 103:1-5;
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles.
If you had just become a citizen of the United States, would you want to know what benefits you have inherent with your new citizenship? You would want to know the benefits, the rights, the freedoms, and etc. that are guaranteed to you by the Constitution of the United States.
Unfortunately, however, many United States citizens live beneath their means and their rightful status because of their ignorance of their benefits. Even worse are those that know about the benefits, but are too lazy to operate on their knowledge and stake a claim to what is rightfully theirs.
Knowledge is good to combat the ignorance, but after receiving the information concerning the benefits, the citizens must have the desire to act upon that information to bring about a change in their lives.
Likewise, in the body of Christ, we are born-again into the Kingdom of God and become Kingdom citizens. God Word says “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge or because they reject knowledge”. Hosea 4:6
